Miami native Diane Broomfield grew up in an eight-sibling family wherein music was a constantly defining factor. Though none of the brothers and sisters were formally trained, what was an enjoyable hobby became a professional gig for all before reaching the teenage years. The family worked together under various aliases throughout the '70s and '80s, and most of the members made solo recordings in this period, as well. Williams picked up the nickname "Dee Dee" in early childhood; and she borrowed the surname "Wilde" from older brother Ron, who attained international fame as R&B balladeer Eugene Wilde in the mid-'80s.

November 25-28, 2010 Daytona Beach, Florida
Daytona Turkey Run
Thursday - Sunday November 25th - 28th, 2010
Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, FL
Admission is $15.00 per day, $10.00 on Sunday. Children 11 and under free.
The southeast’s biggest car show and swap meet is November 25th-28th, 2010, as the 37th Annual Daytona Turkey Run will once again be held on the infield of the world famous Daytona International Speedway. With 4,812 cars registered in 2009, there will be plenty to see and do once again in the show car area, which takes up the eastern half of the infield. New starting in 2009 was the fact the show was opened up to all years of show quality cars and trucks. Of course common sense was to be used (no “grocery getters”). There were not that many “late models” that took advantage of the new rules in 2009, and those that were there were indeed show worthy. Purists, you need not be worried about the change as classic cars easily ruled.
If you need something for your car the Turkey Run is certainly the best show to try and find it at. The swap meet is legendary for its size and variety, plus there are many new parts vendors to fill that need as well. The car corral was once again jam packed with offerings, and bargains were spotted as we made our way down isle after isle.

The Sun 'n Fun Fly-In, Lakeland's annual aviation celebration, will celebrate its 37th anniversary in 2011. Sun 'n Fun will be held March 29th - April 3, 2011 at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport.
About 5,000 aircraft of every size and shape including showplanes competing for awards will be on display for Sun 'n Fun visitors to enjoy throughout the week. Sun 'n Fun said the flightline will remain open to all ticketed visitors, giving pilots, aviation enthusiasts, children and families a close-up look at all the on-site aircraft, including modern military jet fighters and historic World War II fighter aircraft.
The 2011 event will include the daily air show in the afternoons, plus a Friday night air show, and a hot-air balloon launch on Saturday. This year will feature the Blue Angels Precision Jet Demonstration Team. The event also includes more than 450 educational forums, seminars and hands-on workshops that cover every aspect of aircraft construction and maintenance. Additional topics are offered through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) FastTeam Production Center that operates year-round on the Sun 'n Fun campus.
In 1975, the first fly-in was held over a weekend in January and was called the "Mid-Winter Sun 'n Fun". It was limited primarily to pilots, but by 1976, the event was expanded to a full week, moved to the Southwest corner of Lakeland Linder Regional Airport and was opened to the public on a limited basis. In its third year -1977 - a freak snowstorm threatened to dampen spirits and impact attendance, but the event drew record numbers and Sun 'n Fun was recognized as one of the world's premier aviation events. In 1980, the fly-in was moved from January to March and, in 1988, was moved again to April where it has remained.
